Norair Babadjanian

Norair is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales and a Russian Advocate specialising in international dispute resolution.  He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), a member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and of the London Court of International Arbitration Users' Council (LCIA), as well as a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators' Association (LMAA).

Norair is regularly appointed as a counsel in complex evidence heavy multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes conducted in major European, North American and South-East Asian litigation centres, as well as under the auspices of the leading arbitral institutions such as the LCIA and LMAA (London), ICC (Paris), SCC (Stockholm), VIAC (Vienna), ICDR (New York), and ICSID (Washington, DC).

Norair's professional career includes training with Healy & Baillie LLP, a Wall Street law firm in New York, and seven years of associateship with Ince & Co LLP, a premier City of London international commercial practice.  He was the head of Moscow operations at DLA Weiss Tessbach Rechtsanwälte GmbH in Vienna at the launch of their Russian endeavour in 2004, and then the Moscow partner head of DLA Piper's international dispute resolution group in Russia & CIS.  Norair had subsequently joined the London and Moscow offices of Dewey & LeBoeuf, a white shoe New York law firm, as the head of the firm's international dispute resolution effort in Russia & CIS. Until 2013 he practised at 12 Gray's Inn Square Chambers spearheaded by late Arthur Marriott QC, a forefather of modern English arbitration.

Norair is also engaged as a part-time lecturer at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MGIMO-University).
