Rory Kirrane
Rory Kirrane has an extensive experience in disputes relating to construction and engineering contracts, maritime, international trade and related legal issues. He regularly handles arbitration, dispute board adjudication, mediation and conciliation relating to matters such as FIDIC engineering contracts and ICC INCOTERM-based transactions for international sale of goods.

Rory is admitted as an Irish citizen practising in Dublin. He is a senior partner in the law firm of Mason Hayes + Curran where he leads the construction and arbitration practices.
He is recommended by Chambers & Partners Europe, Legal 500 and Practical Law Company as a leading lawyer in construction, projects, planning, environmental and maritime law.
Rory is admitted as a solicitor in Ireland and England & Wales. Prior to joining Mason Hayes + Curran he worked with Ince & Co., a top international shipping law firm in the City of London, as well as in an international construction law firm.
Rory regularly speaks on legal matters in Ireland and internationally. His other interests include travelling, literature, art history, as well as classical music, in particular Monteverdi, Scarlatti, Sibelius, and Wagner on vinyl discs.

In addition, Rory has a strong background in shipping and maritime law, having had trained and worked at Ince & Co., Solicitors, one of London's most prestigious law firms where he acted on behalf of underwriting interests in 'Ikarian Reefer', on behalf of owners in a US$70 million total loss, was involved in leading charterparty cases such as 'Houda', and in a number of large FPSO disputes. Rory has recently acted in relation to disputes surrounding the ownership of the ‘Christina O’. He has also successfully litigated defamation proceedings to the Court of Appeal in England.
